Personal Prayer Testimonies
The Holy Spirit is "shifting"
- our understanding about prayer
- how we pray
- why we pray
- what we pray
Leave a testiomony and be enouraged....
WHO...
WHO can separate us from the LOVE of God.
Sitting in my prayer room this morning - picturing the crosses filled with names of
- loved ones
- lost ones
- lukewarm ones.
to partner with
- the one WHO hung on the cross
- encounter
- engage
- exchange
- loved ones
- lost ones
- lukewarm ones.
WHO - will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
WHO - is he that condemns?
Christ Jesus, WHO died. More than that WHO raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
WHO shall separate us (or our loved ones, lost ones, lukewarm ones) from the love of God.
Our prayers, our intercession, our standing in the gap - closes the chasm between God and man.
WHO ... HIM and YOU!
Press on saints.

Prayer or Intercession: What's the difference?
The following are a few thoughts on the difference between prayer and intercession that I hope will help clarify both the journey and the destination that are experienced when you are committed to seeking God.
Prayer is referenced 316 times in the Bible,
Intercession is found only ten times.
It is interesting to note that the word following "intercession" in your concordance is "intercourse."
Both speak of a closeness to God, that results in an intimate dialogue and great effectiveness.
Prayer focuses on "thing-dom," or dominion over things.
Intercession focuses on King-dom or dominion over kings.
Prayer takes and hour of your day.
Intercession requires a season of your life.
Pray-ers watch their clocks.
Intercessors mark their calendars.
Prayer is over when you say, "Amen."
Intercession is over when God says, "Amen."
Prayer is casting all of our cares on God.
Intercession is receiving an assignment from God.
Prayer is learning how to fight the good fight.
Intercession is learning how to win the war.
The word "intercessor" is not found in the Bible. I believe this is because intercession is not a spiritual gift to possess or an office to hold, but a place to serve the Body of Christ.
Blessings from a fellow traveler.

UNRIGHTEOUS BURDENS
Are you carrying around any unrighteous burdens? Burdens you pick up that the Father hasn't assigned to you? When we partner with Him, He only assigns to us what we are able to carry.
"Cast your burden on the Lord and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." [Psalm 55:22]

Burden Bearer - Getting Refreshed
I'm smiling at God! How HIS speaking to me through a donkey is now speaking to so many of you! I received several testimonies about others who have "donkey's" speaking to them!
Here is my "Friend" getting refreshed!
And to you, Dear Friends, be refreshed in HIM today. He is so pleased at your pursueing partnership with HIM.
Love,
Mary Jo

How Have You Been Sleeping?
The Rest of the Story...
The testimony I shared re: missing opportunities to pray and disobeying nudges from God to pray...
I was seated on an airplane, wanting nothing more than to be "left alone." Ignoring Holy Spirit nudges, I hid myself behind a book (probably about prayer) from my seatmate. As we taxied into the gate, I exchanged a few "pleasantries" only to be blindsided by this woman's desperate need for a connection to God for her family and circumstances. I was able to listen quickly and say, "I'll pray."
I repented. I promised the Lord that my heart would be to hear, listen and pray and not miss another opportunity to connect people with HIM through prayer.
Now the rest of the story....
On my next trip my seatmate was a business man - busy, busy, busy with his paperwork. At the beginning of the trip I said, "I'm going to spend some time praying. Do you have anything specific you would like to pray for." Our conversation shed light on the difference between religion and relationship. By the end of the trip, he had recommitted his life to Jesus.
Thank you Father! You are so faithful!
Each of you will have a "rest of the story." I am cheering you on!

Glory to Glory to Glory to Glory 2 Corinthians 3:18
I hope you never hear the word GLORY and think of it the same way.
Psalm 8 – God crowned him with glory.
"I’ve made you to look like me – rule like me …”
Literally crowned or clothed with the glory of God.
When people say "the truth will set you free," it is not always in the correct context. It is not always speaking of the truth of God's word.
But tonight we heard truth. The truth of God's word. The truth about His love and plans for you! I hope you never hear the word GLORY again and think of it the same way...
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Cor 3:18
Let's memorize this scritpure!

The Significance of Prayer
When we talk about prayer, it should never be in the context of something we do, but about someone we know. The most significant aspect of the Christian life is that, we can know God!
In Jeremiah 9:23, God exhorts us. "Let not a wise man glory (boast) in his wisdom, and let not the mighty man glory in his might, and let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord."
His choice of the word "understand" is to remind us that by giving Him our attention and spending time with Him, we can gain insight and discernment into the ways of God. The word "know" is a precious reminder, that it is possible to have an intimate relationship with God that allows us to experience and discover His great love and purpose for our lives.
And just when we become convinced that we can pursue God until He is found, we find there is always more to know about Him. We come to the place he has been leading us all along. The place where we are convinced there are some things we will never know about God, and that's what makes Him God.
