UNRIGHTEOUS BURDENS

Are you carrying around any unrighteous burdens? Burdens you pick up that the Father hasn't assigned to you? When we partner with Him, He only assigns to us what we are able to carry.

"Cast your burden on the Lord and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." [Psalm 55:22]

As learned by experience, an unrighteous burden can be unforgiveness- either withholding it or not asking for it. As pray-ers and intercessors, we must keep a short list of offenses and be quick to repent.

Have you offended God? Have you offended a brother or sister?

Have you received the Lord's forgiveness or are you carrying the weight of judgement yourself?

Have you ignored God's call to pray or speak His name? Even this can add another box to your cart.

As we cast these burdens upon the Lord and commit to do as He directs, He balances out the load- removes the boxes of burden- and enables us to walk again.

I love this picture, Mary Jo! I sent it to my sisters and my oldest daughter who also love to pray. A picture is worth a thousand words!

Truly, a picture is worth a thousand words! When we bear false burdens, we often end up feeling foolish and "stranded"... we just don't get anywhere in prayer. If someone will just unpack the cart, one box at a time, the burden will be lightened, and the donkey will end up with his feet on the ground again, so he can get somewhere! :)

Also, a team of donkeys could move that cart....a picture of the power of corporate prayer.

This picture truly spoke to my heart. I just feel that way many times. My husband says I want to take on everyones burdens. But, thanks be to God, one thing this class has taught me, it's not to carry the burdens of others, but to carry them away to Jesus. WOW..
Praise GOD!!
